AO Research Institute Davos Mission: Excellence in Research and Development within trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system and translation of this knowledge to achieve more effective patient care worldwide.
Overall Gaols: 1) To contribute high quality basic and translational research and development (both innovative and service oriented) in trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system in close cooperation with the AO specialties. 2) To investigate and improve the performance of surgical procedures, devices and substances to achieve more effective patient treatment. 3) To foster a close relationship with the AO medical community, universities and industry to achieve more effective patient treatment. 4) To provide a research environment and support career development for AO clinicians.

Project Leader (m/f) for biomechanical research and concept development


Your tasks:

The offered position carries responsibility for various tasks in the fields of biomechanical services and biomedical concept development:
In this function you are responsible for routine maintenance of equipment and working environments, for planning and performing biomechanical studies, for supporting and training visiting surgeons from the AO Community in biomechanical research as well as for support in general concept development processes. Beyond that you handle with biological samples, material testing machines, evaluate testdata and write test-reports.

Your profile:

To fulfil this position you have a bachelor in engineering or an equivalent technical education. Having experience in the biomedical field is a plus. We expect knowledge in Matlab programming language and interest in working with material testing machines. Experience in CAD is a plus. You are characterised by having multitasking skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills and a great willingness to learn. Good English skills (written and oral) are a must.
